Considering the need and importance of education for the development of society and nation, the visionaries of Valsad decided to start educational institutions to impart education in different faculties of learning. For this purpose, they founded Shree Nootan Kelavani Mandal in May 1956. It is our affluence and privilege that the founder President of Shree Nootan Kelavani Mandal is Late Shree Morarji Desai the beloved son of Valsad, great freedom fighter, an ardent Gandhian, a person with moral principles in words and deeds, the former Prime Minister of India, the first Indian to receive highest civilian order of India Bharat Ratna and Pakistan-Nishaan-e Pakistan. Late Shree Morarji Desai and Late Dr. Moghabhai Desai, an eminent medical practitioner and social worker, rendered their selfless services as the President and Secretary respectively to
